“Smiling eyes and sweaty palms…”
Today I’m silently excited,
didn’t learn to share emotion
other than on paper yet,
but excitement alone
is one hella tone for my heart
that’s sliding, tickling, and itching
in its core.
A child
prior to receiving a plushy toy,
smiling eyes and sweaty palms.
My toy
this time not physical,
– perhaps emotional?
maybe
– spiritual?
I doubt it.
Must be something metaphysical,
fanatical, like freedom
when you breathe in words and songs
exhaling smoothly,
with no tremble in the force.
