Audio-Poetry: Born In River

Poetry by Vladimir Fischer

“Allegedly located somewhere…”

Solid chains are piercing
through my leg and slowing down
my movement, forcing me to beg
for liberty, emancipation,
but passing eyes talk of amusement
and deceit reflected in the puddle on the street.

I was forced to hunt for virtue
allegedly located somewhere
down the unlit fleshy pipes,
reflected in the face of a passerby
but who am I to judge your kind?

I’m a sinner,
who was born in the flowing river
fighting blowing current and the wind
typing letters to restrain
my constant agony and pain.
